Moderate

My Problem

My father MacBook Pro had a serious trouble with SSD (unstable or non booting computer), thanks to Apple bad quality component. I ordered a new one from iFixit (from which I use guides for maybe ten years), replace it following the appropriated guide, and now everything is fine, the SSD work at full speed on SATA 3GB/s.

My Fix

With no problem (I'm experimented in Apple disassembly with my personal collection of Macs, my family, and the members of my Apple User Group) With my new set of driver from iFixit, I could removed the battery, and put the new cable. I took me about 15 minutes for the whole operation (but I forgot the photos …).

My Advice

No advice, the solution is exactly what we need. Thanks.
