hard drive turned display death

My Problem

hard drive was dead and new one needed to replace it.

My Fix

sadly, being a little confused by the guide and the video missing this part, i tore the display cable not knowing what it is and although hard drive (which i was replacing) spins, i can not see it work due to dark screen. i ordered a new cable and we will see

My Advice

bigger images of actual computer to identify location of where the work needs to be done. locating areas of work was a big problem in my case, not only did i rely on the video more than i should have, trying to use the guide led me to a step i could not find.
