MacBook Pro battery replacement success

My Problem

Needed a replacement battery for a 2009 Apple MacBook Pro. Apple no longer sells this product at their stores or online. I wasn't interested in purchasing a new laptop now so I was looking for an affordable replacement part and detailed instructions on how to do this.
