My Problem

Applying steady pressure without damaging the LCD when opening your device for inspection or repair.

My Fix

Did not have this tool for this LB repair job, but realized the need to it have it, since the front glass assembly did not separated from the main frame of the iPhone 5 with the section cup--- it was nerve wracking, to say the least. When I opened my next device, I'll be well prepared. So I ordered it right afterwards and now I'm ready!

My Advice

Suction cups are okay, but a tool that can consistently open your device, applying equal pressure to both the rear case and the front glass assembly its a better way around the issue. Here (the pictures) I replaced the Logic Board on an iPhone 5, but realized that with this tool it would have reduced the risk of damage to the Screen and/or LCD by a factor of 10. Great tool to have and a lot cheaper than replacing the front glass assembly/LCD.
