Moderate

My Problem

Partitioned my HD too much and there were errors with the kernel_task. Went to the apple store and a tech specialist suggested (under the table) to switch HD with a new one and so I did.

My Fix

It went well, i loved the smooth step by step hardware side ifixit gave. But word of caution for future, mention on your step by step fix to format the new HD to Mac compatible before you install it, I had to boot my old OSX and format the new HD to Mac compatible, then install OSX on it. After that bump on the road, everything went smooth, and my MBP runs like new. although I want to upgrade more stuff from it now that I know how easy iFixit made this possible. So thank you so much for all the knowledge you guys provide!

My Advice

Format new HD to Mac compatible first, then install OSX on it either before or after installing in your device.
