macbook pro mid 2009 upgrade

My Problem

Battery was holding ~1hour charge, and the computer was too slow with mavericks and photo processing. Needed to upgrade.

My Fix

Super fast, super simple. Start to finish for battery and RAM 15min tops. ifixit pictures and directions, tools, steps were exactly what was needed. You guys made it super simple

My Advice

For the hard drive, exercise good storage principles and have a strategy on how to deal with a hard drive swap. I'd recommend the external clone [requires a special cable], allowing you to skip the step of making a boot-up disk...but then, you should be making a boot up disk anyway should your computer fail, or just be religious about backing things up.
