Tragically, my fan failed in my Macbook Pro at the worst possible time.

My Problem

I was working on a huge project when suddenly I noticed my laptop's performance going down. It took me two days to realize the fan had failed and it was limiting the CPU so it didn't overheat. Rushed to figure out a replacement option.

My Fix

Repair went great. The delivery came in a day early, much to my surprise. The tools were perfect and the fan snapped into place easy as pie.

My Advice

I realized that over the course of the past 4 year the fan vent has become blocked. I recommend everyone open up their laptop, take their fan out and vacuum it clean.
