Fairly easy repair if you're an expert at origami.

My Problem

The screen went dark whenever you'd move the LCD past 90 degrees to the base of the Macbook.

My Fix

The repair went great. Lots of wires to move and re-fold into exactly the shape they came out of, but overall not a difficult repair.

My Advice

The teardown guide was invaluable. I did not end up disassembling nearly as much as the guide indicated. Since the inverter cable is on the left side of the notebook and the optical drive, etc weren't in the way, I just gently separated the LCD assembly without taking the assembly completely off the base. That was enough clearance to easily reach the inverter and to replace the cable.
