My Problem
The 2007 iMac was getting slow (getting a lot of beachballs), I replaced the original HD by an SSD.
My Fix
Very smoothly!
My Advice
When installing an SSD the threads in the adapter did not match the iMac 6-32 screws, I enlarged the existing (drilled) holes, used a 6-32 tap to make new threads and voila!
