My Problem
The glass was cracked, the i-pad was still working but it was getting worse.
My Fix
The repair went well. The most difficult part is getting the old glass off of the frame. The adhesive works very well!
My Advice
3 pieces of advice:
1.Take the 4 screws out of the circuit board where all the connectors run into. It makes it much easier to push the ribbon into the connection when you can grasp the board (hold the edges, do not touch the components)
2. Make sure the ribbon is seated into the slot. The white line should be all the way up too the connector.
3. Test the installation before peeling off the adhesive strips. If the keypad does not work, you may need to reseat the ribbon.
