The old disk was small, full and slow.
My Fix
Very easy. Good guide from ifixit. The actual replacement didn't take longer then five minutes.
My Advice
Restoring the 250gb backup, wireless, from the time capsule took about nine hours.
Make sure you have a bootable mavericks USB to get the installation process going.
