My Problem
Have an Early 2011 MacBook Pro that was ordered with 8GB of Ram from Apple. As a web developer though, 8GB of ram just doesn't cut it any more. Need to start using PhotoShop heavily, & that was the last straw. Ordered up 2 8GB RAM chips, & now my MBP is humming along with 16GB of ram!
My Fix
Super easy to replace RAM chips in the Early 2011 MBP. I'm still temped by the Retinas, but the repairability scores have been keeping me away. Sooner or later I'm sure I'm take the plunge to Retina, but I'll put it off as long as possible with upgrades like this!
My Advice
If you've got an Early 2011 MBP stick 16GB of RAM in it!
