Macbook Pro 2009 Battery Replacement

My Problem

I was considering upgrading my macbook pro but instead decided to buy some more time with it by replacing the battery.

My Fix

The repair was smooth as butter. The hardest part was getting the clip back into the board because of where it is located. Just need to make sure it is snapped in all the way.

My Advice

I was expecting more life out of a brand new battery versus the existing one which was ~4.5 years old. What I got in reality was about an additional 1 - 1.5 hours than what I had. I thought it would be closer to extending use time about 4 - 5 hours, but I can't recall how long the battery lasted when I first got the machine.
