Replaced my harddrive

My Problem

The hard drive in my MacBook pro 17" was over heating and making growling noises. I had replaced the battery pack earlier because the original one overheated and went bad. For the price of the larger and faster Hard drive with upgrade kit from fixit, it was worth saving the mac and getting more service and usage.

My Fix

The charge out went very smoothly because of the upgrade kit (very important). Worth every penny the kit cost. If you did not have the kit, you would be running around to electronic stores trying to find the correct tools (if you could find them)

The step by step pictorial guide (very well done) made it very easy to do. The kit also comes with a rubber case and a USB connector for your old Hard drive. I used Super Duper to transfer mirror image of drive.

My Advice

Everything was outstanding. I will use their service again for sure.
