My Problem
A friend wanted to install a version of OS X newer than Tiger and she needed more RAM to do it.
My Fix
It went perfectly. The RAM upgrade was without incident, it works perfectly, and I blew about one pound of dust out of the machine in the process.
My Advice
Nah. This was a very straightforward process. There's even a diagram for how to do it on the bottom of the iMac.
