Fan and HD replacement

My Problem

The right side fan on my Mac laptop A1260 was screaming like a pack of 10yr old girls and driving me and the family crazy.

My Fix

Daunting at first seeing as I needed to remove the whole top half of the laptop and it had connections I was not familiar with, but the how to guides here on ifixit were excellent and made the whole experience a pleasure. In fact, while I had it opened, I went ahead and put in a larger HD with the money I saved from not having to pay repair labor.

My Advice

It is definitely easier than you think. The Spudger tool is a no brainer, get it and use your screwdriver for something else....like screws.
