iPhone rear panel crushed after a stupid fall on skies in the Italien alps....

My Problem

The rear panel was crushed. I was afraid that water/humidity could enter the phone and destroy it. I like the iPhone and hope it will work for a few more years. PS, I still have the first iPhone1 and it still works.(Backup phone). So I decided to fix it and found ifixit on the web.

My Fix

The panel arrived in my mailbox after a very few days. I was lucky and did not have to pay any additional customs or VAT to the Norwegian gov as well. First I went through the installation process on your website and after that the new panel was replaced in only 5 minutes. Picture shows before and after. That saved my a lot of money. My Advice

My advice is that this fix is easier than I thought. I´ve read that you should never open an iPhone because it will be damaged either by static or wrong use of tools and never work again. I can strongly recommend to do this and I will not hestitate to do it again, hopefully not with my own phone...
