My Problem
July 4th was hot day. We were at our neighbors and my daughter and i jumped into the pool and iPhone decided that it needed to cool off as well....
My Fix
After I dried off the phone in a zip-loc bag full of rice, I found that the battery was fried. The iPhone would work when it was plugged into an outlet. Ordered up a replacement battery and a phillips head screwdriver from iFixit and lo and behond within a couple of minutes my iPhone is back to normal!
My Advice
Dry off the phone for a couple of days in a bag full of dry rice
