My Problem
Needed a new battery.
My Fix
Very difficult. Cracked the LCD display glass taking the iPod apart. It still worked after changing the battery and getting it all back together again...it just has a small hairline crack at the bottom of the display.
My Advice
Be VERY patient when disassembling. This is the most difficult repair I've ever done.
