My Problem
Battery was dead.
My Fix
The first time was a bear. Took me so long to get the IPOD open! The second time I used a small metal spatula used for spreading frosting on cakes and it took me all of 5 minutes to get it open, replaced and back to working order.
My Advice
Try using a spatula or simular device but be careful you don't ruin the IPOD.
