In transporting my iMac to and fro, I cracked the screen... arrrrgh!

Way easier than I expected! You'll want to give yourself credit.
My Advice
Don't hesitate, it's reasonably priced and super easy to do... I lugged my iMac around for months before fixing it... Larger lesson, if you plan to lug a computer around, buy a laptop!
