Bought a 2013 27" iMac for my daughters and they complaint about the computer freezing up. So, I decided to replace the mechanical drive with an ssd drive.
Using iFixit adhesive strips and iMac opening everything went smooth. I felt like an expert doing this. After applying the adhesive the screen looks factory installed.
Buy all equipment necessary for the project, take your time and watch the tutorials from iFixit.

I have been an electronics repairman for years and just began a new journey to open my own wireless repair facility and needed a few tools. I came across an article about another cellular repair shop using IFIXIT.com tool kits and when I looked into it I found the kits had exactly what I was looking for at the right prices.
The tools work excellent and are made of good quality materials. I have not yet run into a wireless device the toolkit does not have the right tool for. Thank You for an excellent product.
Use professional grade tools from a professional company like IFIXIT.com.. Great customer service, resources and materials!!!

My phone had fallen off of my lap and onto the floor while I was sitting on the couch. I wasn't using it at the time so I thought, "That's not the most dangerous place to leave it." As long as I remembered it was there.
Well when I went to get up, I put my foot right on top of it without knowing and in the process of sitting up straight I put enough pressure on the back of it (it was face down) and the next thing I heard and felt was a small "pop."
My stomach dropped and I was slightly in shock.
The repair went very smoothly thanks to the teardown on this site and a video on YouTube that showed me how to take apart every little piece of the phone.
Make sure you check that your buttons work before securing anything back down. The power button that came with the replacement was a little too short and wouldn't spring back when pressed. I just used the "old" power button.

I dropped my Ipad and shattered the glass
getting the old screen off was not easy.
The first guide I saw on your website recommended the iOpener as the way to get the cover off. It worked, but I have a heat gun and it turned out to be far more effective.
I really like fixing things so I got over excited and wrecked the wifi antenna and the PMV cable.
Some big warnings at the beginning for people like me would be nice.
tools required (bare minimum) and best option (for example the heat gun and that really slick opener on your website)
Before you start in big bold letters 'these are the other parts that can break if you're not careful. I know you have that information on your site but it didn't seem to register very well for me.
There are also some things in re-assembly that are not simply the reverse of disassembly.
I had some nicks in the plastic bezel after I opened the ipad up. those, the adhesive residue and some very small glass bits made the first attempt to re-install the cover a bit of an ordeal.
I used the square edge of a sharp chisel to clean out the gutter in the bezel and remove the excessive adhesive residue. that made it go back together nicely.
I also pre heated the adhesive with a heat gun so that it was nice and sticky when I pressed it back together. and I stacked the Ipad on the bubble wrap from replacement front panel with a few old textbooks to let the adhesive set. before I did that, the home button wasn't working reliably because the front cover was not completely seated.
I had a fair bit of trouble with the #00 Philips screwdriver that you provided. I don't have super steady hands but I found it didn't grip the screws very well. I happened to have a Wiha set with a #00 Philips in it and it worked beautifully.
The magnetic mat is brilliant. I am going to order a few of the pro ones when you get them back in stock.
all told it was a great learning experience and I'm not afraid to tackle any other repair on your site. I'll just make sure I'm a bit more careful next time.

I teach an ipad repair class to a group of 8th graders. This order was just to replace some tools. We are going to give the isesamo tool a try. Our best tool so far has been a metal spudger. It has a triangular end an a curve spatula end. You sell one that looks like it but the spatula end is to dull to get between the glass and bezel. I hope the isesamo tool does the trick. We will repair a couple hundred iPads this year and your tools are indispensable.
We have not had a chance yet to give the tools a run. I am sure they will be just fine.
