Even if you don't have anything to fix yourself, you can still fix other people's things! Cell phone repair is a booming self-starting business. Students, stay-at-home parents, and entrepreneurs are all joining in to fix phones for their friends and locals, while making good profit for themselves. Apple sold 37 million iPhones in the 4-month holiday season of 2011, and while many of those phones get fixed every day, even more are simply thrown out. With the help of this tool kit, you could be making those phones run like new. By the time you’ve fixed five phones, this kit will have paid for itself!

You don’t have to be a repair technician to find this kit useful. This kit is also great for anyone who has a phones, tablets, and laptops around the house. Our 54 bit toolkit and the various poking, prodding, opening, measuring, and grabbing tools that come with it will keep all your home’s electronics in working order.

This kit is great even for non-electronics. The small bits are great for doorknobs, eyeglasses, cabinet doors, sink fixtures, and more. If you are looking for a great addition to an artists or hobbyist's tool chest, look no further. The prying tools are great for sculpting clay and other materials.

In addition to our thousands of repair professional and home tinkering customers, this kit has become very popular with domestic and international top secret intelligence agencies with three-letter names we can’t name here. Oh, and we’ve also sold kits to some computer company named after a fruit (not a pear or orange) and many of their competitors use the kits internally.

My Problem

Mu iPhone 4s power button sunk in and I cannot easily turn on/off my device.

My Fix

This is my first time opening iPhone and I was pessimist by I was just like "just do it".

My Advice

It sunk because an ultimately tiny black point misplaced. This makes no comfortable contact between power button and internal power switch. I then just glued that tiny dot to the power button. I did not use the replacement power button.

My Problem

No problem to state.

Just wanted the toolkit as a "just in case" I had to fix one of my phones. As I am not upgrading phones any longer hence trying to get the most life out of my LG G2 and Nexus 5 as possible.

My Fix

My Advice

Get the kit as it is worth the price vs. having to buy a new phone or having to deal with the morons that fix phones at a carrier stores.

My Problem

the macro bit set case i received had a pin or rivet missing from one of the corner pieces so it does not open or close very well apart from that the set is good thank you and best wishes

My Problem

For the first time I've broken my screen I've replaced in in a service for about €200. Next time I've dropped my iPhone touch screen started to work unstable and from time to time I've seen artefacts on a screen. So with this wonderful kit I've opened my phone in 5 minutes and figured out that it misses the bracket securing cables to the logic board, and 3 screws as well – they were stolen in a service.

My Fix

For now I've just reconnected cables as is, going to ask for my stolen parts in a service or to order them on ebay...

My Advice

At least – do not use unauthorised services in Russia.

My Problem

The only problem I have is that one of the rubber pieces on the screw driver was cut off when I got my ToolKit (I'll upload a photo of it), not a big thing but it just ticks me a bit. ' cant help my OCD I guess' lol

My Fix

I'm using the ToolKit for a designing project that I'm working on, using old Atari joysticks and turning them into coat hangers. Geeky? maybe. Cool ? Yes! :P

My Advice

What can I say....It's true that the Toolkit is kinda more pricey than other Toolkits, but the extra money is totally worth it.

My Problem

because my iphone battery is dropped

My Fix

The first time I tried to use to remove my iphone is difficult but finally can be removed

My Advice

Be patience to remove iphone 1st gen

My Problem

The USB connector of my nexus 7 was too loose. I opened the device, and squeezed the connector a little.

My Fix

The guide proposes the use of the plastic opening tools, but I damaged these tools trying to open mine, so I used a metalic spudger instead.

My Advice

Don't use a plastic tool to open the nexus 7: use a metalic one.

My Problem

Completely broken LCD glass on my Iphone even if still working.

My Fix

Not any problem with the repair

My Advice

1. Really touchy to remove the home button as it's hardly stuck but there are not any miracle solution. Be patient.

2. Make sure that the front camera is centered when mounting back.

My Problem

My dock connector had some corrosion on it and the only alternative that the Apple folks gave me was to trash the phone. They wanted me to either pay $200 for a new Iphone 4S or renew my contract for an Iphone 5s

My Fix

I took my time and was able to accomplish everything required. Your video was a little vague compared to the instruction manuals

My Advice

Take your time and watch each step on YouTube and also have the repair guide available for reference

My Problem

There was nothing to fix this time around. I purchased tools from iFixit years ago for some upgrades that I wanted to do and they are great. I've wanted this toolkit for as long as I first saw them. But going to school and not being employed for years did not help. So now that I am working, I finally bought them for some future fix that might crop up.

My Fix

We will see one day.

My Advice

Buy the nice toolkit!
