My Problem

My mac mini was a bit sluggish with OS X Mavericks and 4GB of ram. I don't know why. I really don't multitask much. I guess the OS is tuned for more ram. After my upgrade things were noticeably snappier.

My Fix

The Mac mini has user serviceable RAM, so it was quick and easy.

My Advice

Vote with you wallet. Buy the macs that have user serviceable ram.

My Problem

I would like just upgrade from 4GB to 16GB for improving the performance of my MAC.

My Fix

It was a very easy repair. Especially following the IFIXIT guide.

My Advice

If you live in Brazil take the special attention for the delivery option. The faster way has a very expensive tax applied for our government. I payed for shipping and tax twice that I payed for the memories.

My Problem

Wanted to speed up this neat little Mac package.

My Fix

Added a 256 solid state drive configured as a fusion drive in combo with the existing 1TB. Delivery of parts took less than 24hrs. Amazing! Install went flawlessly. Not a difficult operation but a little nerve-wracking for the uninitiated.

My Advice

Used OWC website and misc. info from apple support to pull this off.
