My Problem
The macbook Pro fell, and the glass was cracked all over. Luckily this was the only thing broken, no essential hardware was broken, everything still worked perfectly.
My Fix
Actually it went very smoothly. We started at 7PM and it was finished by 10.30PM.
The only bump on the road was that the suction cups didn't stick to the glass because of the cracks all over the glass. So we needed to poke and pull and twist until all little pieces of glass were removed (this process took 1.5 hrs).
Luckily no sign of ravens. Some pigeons though.
My Advice
The stuff about the suction cups and the cracks (see repair).
It was a very frustrating and slow process. We were afraid to damage the LCD.
If you have this, and you don't have a steady hand, leave it to someone who does!

My Fix
It was fun, but removing the top glass was not as easy as it was shown in the guide, but latter we figured out the correct temperature that has to be set to melt the tape or gum... Ended up breaking a new tool(heavy duty suction cups) that we purchased from Ifixit but other wise it was fun :)
My Advice
don't be worried about setting little high temperature while removing the top glass....
My Problem
Screen glass on the MacBook Pro was cracked.
My Fix
Okay, well, bottom line: it worked. Overall, it took about 2 1/2 hours, but I was working really slowly. The big problem in the process was heating the glue around the old glass with a hair dryer and trying to get the old glass off. It just wouldn't come off. Because we already had a crack all the way across it, the glass finally fractured and we ended up getting it off in pieces. Luckily, the LCD display was not damaged (I work slow when necessary). Reassembly was smooth.
My Advice
The first plug that you have to remove: it pulls out parallel to the board, not away from it. And the old glue -- I have no idea what would've worked better. We had the hair dryer on high, and got the glass warm, almost hot and it just wasn't coming out like in the instruction and pictures. No enlightenment here. And we didn't take pictures....
