My transfer speed would stutter when I would trying to copy a file and video would start and stop a lot of the time. really annoying when your trying to edit video.
I just looked up the guide and it went very smooth and had no issues. Did it in 10 minutes.
Be careful with the cable because it's delicate.

After upgrading memory in mac spent three days and the computer connected with the symbol of a folder with a question mark ... I tried to wiggle the cord, clean, fit again but nothing resolved. I heard of another case with an acquaintance who already changed 3 times the cable. I decided to buy and you risk the exchange.
I replaced the cable and it worked at first, do not know what may have damaged the cable before.
Disconnect the battery from the mac, put the plug very carefully and pray no need to remove because it is very easy to damage. In my case it was expensive, I paid $ 49 cable, $ 50 shipping and $ 55.40 in taxes.

My HDD was not booting up or even showing up in disk utility. Looked up reasons the HDD error and found that either HDD failed or cable failed. First testing if the HDD failed by putting it into another computer and seeing if it would boot. If you do not have another computer to see if it will boot ask around. My HDD booted so failed HDD was not the issue so i decided to invest in the $50 HDD cable from ifixit.
The repair process was easy. I work with computers on a regular basis but that does not mean this is only easy due to experience. Anyone can install this, instructions are straight forward just be cautious with the screws. The hardest part was making sure the adhesive for the LED cable is put on properly.
Do not freak out if your HDD has problems. Always back up on an external to always make sure your files are in a safe place. There are many clients to choose from some are cheaper than others but there are some freeware or trials that work just as well for a one time back up of your system. Just troubleshoot your issue before you take it in to a computer repair location for they will charge you a hefty price for what can be an easy fix, in this case around $50.

One day my MacBook just hangs. Completely. After rebooting all i've got was a flashing folder with a question mark. Disk Utility couldn't find a hard drive in my system but i could clearly hear it spins.
The repairing process was fast and straightforward
The symptoms like this not always mean "your HDD just got broken, you've lost all your data". Try not to panic :)
