This version of the MacBook Pro 17" features a logic board processor speed increase and an optional LED display.

The MacBook Pro 17" Penryn Model A1261 is one of the top of the line Apple Laptops and it can be upgraded to a total of 6 GB of memory using a 4 GB RAM chip and a 2 GB RAM chip. It would be a shame to have all that RAM and yet have a slow hard drive bogging down your notebook. The 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive will give you plenty of storage.
