What you need

  1. iPod Touch 4th Generation Blank Screen, iPod Touch 4th Generation Blank Screen: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Ground the the battery terminal indicated by the screwdriver.

    • Ground the dock connector

  2. iPod Touch 4th Generation Blank Screen: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Touch battery terminal 3 and the dock connector metal with the metal part of a screw driver.

    • This should short the battery and restore the iPod.

  3. iPod Touch 4th Generation Blank Screen: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Reattach the screen.

    • Plug the iPod into a wall charger.

    • Turn on the device.

    • The Apple sign should appear.
