[* black] Pull the black plastic tab away from the iMac to eject the RAM chip from its socket. *note: I would advise using two hands evenly on the right and left corner of the pull tab, and, if you have large hands, use your right or left ring finger to grasp the plastic circular edge of the empty power port for leverage-- THEN firmly pull the tab. It seems an excessive amount of force needed to remove the RAM, but it will partially eject if an even amount of force is pulled on the tab. You many need someone to keep the iMac from sliding forward if you can't use a finger on the power port to create a
