Edit Step 1 Home Button  ¶

  • If your home button is not responding, I have a possible fix for you. You need nail polish remover (also called dissolvant) and a cotton bud.

Edit Step 2  ¶

  • Make sure your phone is switched OFF. I also assume you know how to open your device.

  • Apply some nail polish remover to the cotton bud

  • Gently stroke (clean) the contacts of your home button and the contact on the dock connector.

Edit Step 3  ¶

  • Make sure the pins of the home button make contact with the dock connector contacts and you're good to go.

  • In my case my home button was working perfectly again! I hope it does the same in your case!
