Toshiba Satellite L40 PSL4BE Replacement Hard Drive

What you need

    • Start by power off your laptop and removing any charging adapters.

    • Then flip the laptop upside down so that the screws are right side up as shown.

    • Unscrew the following screws with a standard Philips screwdriver.

    • All screws are the same size but remember to keep track of screws as they are smaller than a standard household screw and are easy to lose.

    • Remove the highlighted panel from the laptop you can use a flat head screwdriver or your hands some light force maybe require but do not apply too much force as it may snap the panel.

    • Unscrew the highlighted screws then carefully lift the hard drive and caddy out of the slot.

    • Remember to take extra care when removing and handling as hard drives are very fragile.

    • Remove the screws on the side of the caddy and carefully slide the hard drive out from the caddy.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
