Describes how to replace or clean the logic board of the Nokia 3300B.

To change or clean the logic board the phone must be dissembled. The tools required will be a T-6 screw driver.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Battery  ¶ 

  • Hold the phone with the back-side facing you.

  • Gently press the button on the back of the battery cover. Slide the cover up.

  • Lift the battery out of the phone.

  • Note: It is easiest to lift the battery out from the right-hand side, as seen in the picture.

Add Note Edit Step 3 — Keyboard  ¶ 

  • Gently push the blue tabs on the top of the phone out of their slots.

  • With the phone facing up, pop the blue faceplate off by using your fingernail (or some tweezers) and working your way around the phone.

  • Note: If the blue cover does not detach easily use your finger nails to try and split it open, as seen in the picture.

  • With the screen still facing you, remove the blue faceplate.

  • Grab the sides of the keypad and lift it up vertically.

  • If you encounter resistance while removing the keypad, be sure to lift up evenly on both sides, so the pins do not snap.

  • To replace or re-install the keypad, place the keypad back onto the phone, making sure that the plastic pegs all enter their proper holes.

Add Note Edit Step 6 — Logic Board  ¶ 

  • Remove six Torx T6 screws from the phone's front case.

  • Pull up on the front case / screen assembly to separate it from the rest of the phone.

  • Gently lift the main board out of the back case.
