This will guide you through the replacement of your controller port.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Case  ¶ 

  • Remove the parallel port cover on the back of the PlayStation.

  • Flip over the PlayStation and remove the six screws from the bottom.

  • Turn the PlayStation upright. Remove the cover by lifting it up.

Add Note Edit Step 4 — Controller Port  ¶ 

  • Remove the two screws securing the controller port to the case.

Add Note Edit Step 5  ¶ 

  • Gently disconnect the ribbon cable from the logic board. This is done by pulling on the blue area of the cable near the connector.

  • Remove and replace the controller port.
