Add Note Step 49

  • Remove the Phillips screw securing the display data cable to the right hinge.

Add Note Step 50

  • Remove the 12 identical Phillips screws securing the LCD panel assembly to the rear bezel.

Add Note Step 51

  • Begin to lift the LCD panel assembly out of the computer by lifting up near the top of the display.

  • Be careful to only hold the LCD panel by the silver metal brackets that surround it.

I found this step unnessasary. Along with removing the left corner.

When re-assembling check to insure the magnet on the left hand side half way down is still in place it should be on the plastic top case cover. When I re-assembled it fell out and my MacBook would not go into sleep mode when the display was closed. I had to pull it apart again to fix.
