Lenovo ThinkPad Helix Battery Replacement

What you need

  1. Lenovo ThinkPad Helix Battery Replacement, Screen: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Using a plastic opening tool or opening pick, gently pry the screen off.

    • If possible, use plastic tools to pry the screen, as the metal tool as shown in the image can potentially damage your device.

    • You will need to use a little bit of force to pry it open. There is little indent that goes around the tablet. You will insert your tool between this indent and pry it open.

    • Once you're able to lift a little bit of the screen away from the tablet, work your way around until screen is separated from tablet. Stop for step two.

    • Lift the screen up slowly.

    • Once separated, you can not fully take it off due to some cable connections.

    • Open the clips of the ZIF connectors and gently grab the cable to pull it out.

    • Once the cables are disconnected, remove the screen.

    • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, unscrew the four nylon-coated 3 mm screws holding the battery in place.

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

    • Lift the battery out of the device.
