This guide will teach you how to upgrade your RAM on an iBook G4.

The RAM is what makes a computer run fast so you can multitask.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — RAM  ¶ 

  • First you must remove the keyboard; it is very easy. There are two clips,hold both of them and pull up. Don't rip out the keyboard, just gently put it to the side.

  • Unscrew the four screws you see in the center of the picture.(Ignore the one in top left.)

  • Some people MAY see an AirPort card next. If you do it's very easy to remove just remove it by pulling gently.

Add Note Edit Step 4  ¶ 

  • You should then see the RAM it should then click out. Then grab the new upgraded RAM by the edges. and stick it in the slot and push it in gently.

  • Just some safety tips make sure the device is turned off, so you don't damage the device or you!

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
