Edit Step 2 ¶
Use an PSP Go opening tool around the perimeter of the back cover to loosen it on all sides.
Open the back cover by gently lifting the right side, and rotating it to the left side (as if you were opening a book).
Be careful not to rotate the back cover from the bottom, as you will break the plastic screw holes on top of the device.

Edit Step 6 ¶
Use a pair of tweezers and grasp the black plastic portion of the headphone jack cable.
Slowly pull out the cable. If it's hard to pull, wiggle it slightly side-to-side while pulling it.
Plugging the new headphone jack into place will require some force. Make sure not to break the connector while performing this procedure. Grasp the black plastic portion of the cable and wiggle it into the logic board connector.
