You will need a #00 phillip's head screwdriver and a black spudger (or equivalent tool).

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Back Cover  ¶ 

  • Turn over camera to find 5 apparent screws.

  • Remove all 5 screws from the bottom of the camera and store them carefully.

  • Open battery door by sliding it in the direction of the arrow to reveal a hidden screw on the opposite side of orange lever. Remove this screw.

  • Rotate camera to find side panel with lanyard attachment. Detach side panel by lifting bottom corner slightly with the spudger.

  • Lift the back cover, being careful not to rip the orange cables between the camera and the back cover.

  • With back cover lifted, lift the black flap that connects the ribbon to the motherboard with the spudger and carefully remove the back cover.

Add Note Edit Step 7 — Lens  ¶ 

  • Find the five screws on the metal plate and remove them. One of them is in a hole in the corner of the metal plate.

  • Also remove the screw at the bottom of the camera.

  • Carefully lift metal plate from the right side to reveal a ribbon connected to the motherboard.

Add Note Edit Step 8  ¶ 

  • Lift the white flap with the spudger to release the ribbon and remove back metal plate.
