This Guide will help you replace a Gateway Disk Drive.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Battery  ¶ 

  • Move the latch to unlock the battery

Add Note Edit Step 2  ¶ 

  • Slide the battery latch and pull out the battery as shown.

  • The battery latch needs to be held in position to be able to remove the battery.

Add Note Edit Step 3 — Disk Drive  ¶ 

  • Unscrew the indicated 5.9 mm Philips screw.

  • Use the spudger to pry out the Disk dive.

Add Note Edit Step 5  ¶ 

  • Disk drive should easily detach and can now be replaced.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
