This guide will show you how to remove and reinstall any stuck or broken keys on your Casio CTK-501 keyboard.

Add Note Edit Step 1 — Bottom Panel  ¶ 

  • Flip the keyboard upside down so the bottom is angled towards you.

  • Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the twenty-seven 12 mm screws from the dark gray bottom panel.

  • Remove the bottom panel by lifting the bottom panel up and outward from yourself.

  • Flip the entire keyboard so the keys face up, and be careful not to let the bottom drop.

  • Flip the top half of the keyboard and set onto the bottom half with the internal parts facing up.

  • Completely unscrew and remove the screws holding the broken string of keys in place.

  • Pull up the top layer of white keys to remove them from the keyboard.

  • Pull up on the last layer of white keys to remove them.

  • Push the black keys toward the front of the keyboard and rotate them until they fall out of the keyboard.
