Add Note Edit Step 1 — Battery  ¶ 

  • Use your finger to slide silver cover release away from the bottom of the device.

  • Lift and remove back cover.

  • Use fingernails to lift the battery from the sides.

  • Gently use your finger to lift the top of the SIM card.

  • Slide the SIM card up and out.

  • Be careful when pulling up on the SIM card. Too much force will break the card in half.

  • Using a T6 torx screwdriver remove the 4 torx screws on the back.

  • All the screws in the device are identical so they are are all interchangeable.

  • Turn the phone over. Using a pry tool, remove the ear piece cover.

  • Remove the two torx srews.

  • Remove the rear chassis by wiggling it back and forth.

  • Be careful around the headphone jack as it can break if pulled too forcefully.

Add Note Edit Step 9 — Logic Board  ¶ 

  • Turn the phone so it is facing down.

  • Use tweezers to remove the two round connectors on the top of the logic board pulling up.

  • The cables connected to the connectors are hooked into the logicboard.

  • Use the tweezers to remove the flat connector in the lower corner of the logic board.

  • Lift the logicboard with your fingers.

  • Be careful when lifting the logicboard as the connectors underneath are delicate.

  • Use tweezers to remove the three ribbon connectors.

  • Remember that the ribbon cable connectors are delicate.

  • Lift the logic board out using an upward moving motion.

  • Insert pry tool and lift up on the four highlighted tabs.

  • Lift the faceplate off in an upward motion.
