HTC Desire HTC Desire Speaker Replacement

This will show reader how to dissemble the inside of a HTC Desire. It will teach readers how to replace the internal speaker of the phone.

What you need

  1. HTC Desire HTC Desire Speaker Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 2 HTC Desire HTC Desire Speaker Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Insert flat end of spudger into slot on the top of phone to pry off the back plate.

    • Use flat edge of spudger to lift the bottom right corner of the battery.

    • Lift the battery out of the phone.

    • Remove the lower, two 0.5 mm screws using Torx T5 screwdriver.

    • Use spudger to pry vibrator panel off.

    • Use spudger to remove the vibrator.

    • Take out the upper, two 0.5 mm Torx screws with a Torx T5 bit.

    • Take the middle 0.3 mm phillips screw out with the phillips J000 tip.

    • Using the spudger, pry up to remove the battery holder.

    • Using the spudger, pry the speaker out of its place.

    • With the springs up, place the new speaker into position.
