What you need

    • Remove the rubber feet. Below are four Torx T9 screws.

    • Identify if the fuse is blown. Take a multimeter and measure the resistance. There should be no measurable resistance.

    • If the fuse is defective it should be replaced with a new one. Component listed under parts.

  3. GARDENA Smart Gateway Repair, TVS Diode: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Second component likely to fail is the TVS Diode (Transient-voltage-suppression diode). It is used to protect the sensitive circuit from overvoltage.

    • Measure the resistance on the two terminals. Resistance should be infinite.

    • If component is broken the circuit is shorted. Therefore the component can be removed in order to repair the device. Afterwards the circuit is not protected against overvoltage anymore!

    • Power LED should light up green
