Maybe... While the optical drive connector is not the same as that on a standard SATA hard drive, using an adapter may be a possibility. We're looking into this, and will definitely let you know when we find out.

I wonder if the 17" battery can be fitted into the 15" by taking out the superdrive completely and moving the hard drive to where the superdrive is located. I rarely use the superdrive and would rather have more battery life in my 15". Anyone up for the challenge?

Do you know the brand of the battery? Based on past batteries and the video I saw, i think it is either Sony or Apple makes it themselves, but I can't tell. Thanks!

Right now, I spilled coffee on the upper right of my 17 inch unibody machine. I turned it off immediately and put it upside down. Its now 3 hours past since that happened. I wonder how can I open the upper panel of the machine so that I can clean some traces of the coffee if it did reach some parts of the machine. Is there a step-by-step procedure in opening the upper panel without voiding the warranty? In addition, I hope the coffee didn't reach one of spill detectors.
