The purpose of this guide is to instruct on how to remove damaged speakers in order to replace them with new ones.

The speakers are the main audio output for the laptop. Due to overuse or loud music, speakers are easily "blown out", but just as easily replaceable.

Removing the Top Panel

Next, locate the four Phillips screws on the keyboard and remove the screws using a #00 Phillips screwdriver.
Lift the keyboard up and disconnect the white cable underneath to remove the keyboard completely.
Once the metal EMI shield is removed, you will see the data display cable attached to the remaining panel.
Remove this cable by simply, but gently, pulling straight up on the tab.
Next, to remove the screen, locate the two hinges beneath the LCD panel.
Remove the four screws that secure the hinges, and remove the screen by pulling perpendicularly to the computer body (straight up).
Now to remove the remaining panel, locate these screws:
Unscrew all of these, but remember to place them in labeled bags, so as not to confuse them.
Once these are off, gently lift up the upper panel.
Lastly, unplug the white cable located underneath the mouse pad.
Follow the wires to the plug near the front of the panel.
Pinch the wires close to the plug between your thumb and index finger.
Pull the wire straight up until the plug disconnects.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
