Upgrades ¶ 

There are a number of components in the iBook G3 12" that can be cost effectively upgraded.

• Memory: The iBook G3 12" has one RAM slot. You can add up to 512 MB of memory to your computer. Browse the RAM category, or check out our easy iBook RAM installation instructions.

Identification and Background ¶ 

The new design abandoned the interesting look of its predecessor for a more restrained white plastic casing. Key features of this revision were the addition of an extra USB port and a higher-resolution screen, even though the overall size of the laptop was reduced.

Use the laptop identification system to help you identify your machine. iBooks tend to look very similar, and it's important to know which machine you have before ordering any replacement parts.
