Cleaning the Corona Wire

Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab all the way to left and then back to the far right. Repeat several times.

Make sure the arrow on the tab lines up with the arrow on the drum unit before you place it back into the printer. If the tab is in the wrong place, a vertical line might appear on future print jobs.
