Bose Soundlink Flex Battery Replacement

What you need

    • lay the speaker flat onto its back.

    • use your heat gun to soften the adhesive that holds the grill in place.

    • using your flat head screwdriver, carefully pry up on the grill on all sides.

    • be very careful not to pry into the speaker and radiator.

    • when replacing the grill, reapply the adhesive.

    • leave the grill to one side

    • using your philips head screwdriver, unscrew the 6 screws holding the speaker assembly in place.

    • using your heat gun, apply heat to the edges to again soften the adhesive seal.

    • using your flat head screwdriver, carefully pry up into the speaker's body.

    • be very careful when prying, as the speaker is still attached to wires on the motherboard.

    • when separating the speaker, carefully pull on the connectors on it

    • when putting the speaker assembly back together, again, replace the adhesive on the speaker and body.

    • using your phillips head screwdriver, unscrew all the screws that are attached to the motherboard.

    • using your flat head screwdriver, carefully pry the motherboard out.

    • be very careful of the wires that are still attached to the battery.

    • carefully pry into the connector on the motherboard connected to the battery.

    • Do not pry into the connector too much or you could damage the connector.

    • take the battery out of its slot.

    • take a pair of scissors and carefully cut open the foam casing just enough to take out the battery.

    • be very careful not to accidentally puncture the battery.

    • replace the battery.
