Introduction
You want to do this to help reduce shaking or rough idle issues and hesitation during take off. Carbon build up in the throttle body is a common thing and it's an easy maintenance you can do to prevent problems in the future. If you plan on removing the throttle body from the vehicle and clean it that way, you must do the ECM/PCM Idle learn procedure to get the vehicle to proper idle specs.
