Hi, My Lombard will not start up with the PRAM battery connected. Tried a new battery--no help. Once started the PB works fine but I have to reset the time settings. Any ideas other than just doing without the PRAM battery?

In addition to being amazed a Lombard is still functioning *smile* I'd say if replacing the battery has no effect you either have a bad main battery or something is wrong on the logic board that is making it not save, so most likely you would just have to deal with resetting time/date. Not bad for a machine that old, really.

After playing with it for a while I've found that resetting the PMU allows me to leave the PRAM battery connected. Other than this startup problem the Lombard runs fine with Panther installed.
